Freedom in admitting the truth...

nobody would likely disagree with that... many of us lived or are living the wt lie for the sake of friends or family.
it can eat at us and put us in situations where we frame half truths, try to find tactful way to avoid telling people what we really think.. there is great freedom in being able to admit truths.

if you are not politically correct, you will need to apologize for some perceived slight.. when i was an elder, i purposely avoided as much as i could, anybody that got easily offended.

As a child of 3 or 4 I went to bed with my " Gollywog" Now " Gollywogs" are banned in the U.K. As a child of 5 or 6 I used to Love " Tom & Jerry" cartoons. Now "Tom & Jerry" cartoons are banned in the U.K, for being violent and racist.
I now realise what prejudice and violence kids like me were put through in my era :-)

Many of these bethelites being forced to leave, must feel humiliated, and they now have to think of MONEY, or how to make it. But in the future, having realised they were naive, and deceived by the W.T, they may also become important apostates.

Truth seeker, I have searched this thread for your question so please now clarify it, so I can answer it.
As for me I was once a witness, nothing more. But when I left I learnt I love enthusiasm and I also love my cat sleeping on a warm duvet by the fire....and now for me the world is no longer reflected in W.T thinking.( are you allowed pets at bethel?)

Wow, " truthseeker" sometimes I feel it's impossible to communicate with people on the Internet. However " Stillin" you make it worth while trying.
Anyway I am no former bethelite, but I am a former witness interested in thoughts on why with the poor economics of the W.T, they are terminating bethelites services?( This I understand is widespread)
Surely the W.T appear to have over looked the fact ex- bethelites can make the best apostates? ( Or as the Godfather says keep your friends close but your enemy closer)

I see years of acute economic crisis ahead for the W.T. This is evident with letting go of " volunteer" bethalites throughout the world. But my thread is on the consequences to the individual, and the organisation of letting " volunteer" bethalites go.
So what happens to the captive mind of the former bethalite when they are let go from bethel? Surely being made to leave bethel, will now create for many worry, about their private life, and the more worry the more likely the captive mind will awaken to the wasted years spent at bethel.
I would imagine for many the main interest must now be how to survive in " satans" world? The fear must be unimaginable, and each individual story will be different. Some will be lucky and have family to support them, some will become depressed, and some will continue to be held captive by the W.T.
But many will survive with minds no longer held captive to the W.T. These ex-bethelites will then probably have to struggle with do they retain a belief in God, or do they become athiest. So I feel sorry for them as It's going to be a difficult journey.
Anyway the reason for the post was, I hope the W.T have underestimated the consequences of making these former bethalites enemies. Personally I am sure many of these ex-bethelites will become powerful apostates.

i predict that within the next two to three years (2017-2018) we will start seeing negative numbers in growth.. i predict that within the next thirteen to fifteen years (2027-2030) the number of jws will be less than 4million.. and i predict that by the time the first person sets foot on mars there will already have been a major split in the organization with either one of the gb or a branch overseer starting a new religion..

I think Christmas is totally.....

so yesterday in accordance with my boys wish, we put the christmas tree and decorations up.
ridiculously early i know, but it made him happy, and even i found decorating the tree fun.. the rebel..

As a witness, when my kid was born I had a lot of time other fathers wouldn't have had with a new born baby. That was a great thing about being a witness, a lot of time was spent at home.
Now i have my boys Christmas wish list, and yea I can now buy him the computer, the headphones, the what ever on that list. But most importantly,having left the organisation i was wise enough or lucky enough to realise days in the park, or on swings, or in the swimming pool, ect ect ect...are the most important.....not the rut-race.
